Lindsey Demyun, cohort 9 | 11/13/23 | “Frontpages and copy look great, From a design perspective, the background color could be changed, maybe a lighter background or a darker background, the color scheme is good but it seems grey after a long time looking at it, like the dark mode, didn’t know the icon was the light-dark mode switch, more space between frequently asked and questions, the menu bar is not working, when and how and where do you see who the person is when you match, is it right after swiping right on them or is it through messages, could encourage people to start convo, or discourage people because of social anxiety, maybe a way to not give a no, maybe don’t unlock achievements until you match with them, maybe if people can list classes they’ve taken or like involvements on campus.”
Joshua Brennan, cohort 9 | 11/13/23 | “Makes sense that it is a dating platform, but has no clue that it serves for business, good color scheme and design, more information or action on the description part of the front page, keep it anonymous until a meeting is set or a message is sent, likes the swiping framework, maybe indicate preferences and match people based on that and maybe the algorithm can order them based on filter accuracy, possibly match with professors, and indicate who and what they want to match with ex: “I want to match with an artsy girl”, get a super option or a once a week reveal or like monetary value, tinder has a super like option where the other people will see that they’ve been super like by another person, wouldn’t use it for relationships but would use it for mentorship or business partners.”
Zac Marcus, cohort 9 | 11/13/23 | “The menu bar could be bigger, I did not know a light switch existed or was used for that purpose, the light pink gets bage or grey after a while, the red has maybe a high saturation, doesn’t like dark mode as default, and maybe switching the red in dark mode to a pink or a softer red, filtering preferences for relationship or business so that the discoverIYA part will only show those with the same preferences and they should be able to change that preference in their profile, being able to quick share portfolio or resumes, have a resume or portfolio like to send easy, lots of animation and user experience movements, would use it for finding partners or mentors, might use it for relationships just to see.”
Teddy, cohort 10 | 11/13/23 | “I fuck with it, it's a 10. I like the JavaScript. I think, when you click learn more and it auto scrolls, I like, get giddy. I want a Tinder swipe feature. I like swiping. I'm pro swiping. I like either swiping where you tap on it and it like, busts. |
The color scheme, the cohesiveness, it truly was, um, a feast for the eyes. I thought it was very sleek, it was very elegant, kind of minimalist in some sense, but again, the color scheme, it really pulled everything together and the flow works well. I like the JavaScript. I think, when you click learn more and it auto scrolls, I like, get giddy.
Giddy. Giddy. Okay. Um. I smile if you want. Okay, were you satisfied with the overall result of the website? Like, what did you expect or receive to learn, and did you like what you received or learned? I did like what I received or learned purely on the fact that it will allow me to meet other co founders and like minded people. I like the dark mode. It feels promiscuous. It feels like, have you seen the We're Not Really Strangers card game? Yes. It feels like exactly like that.” | | | Charlotte, cohort 10 | 11/13/23 | “Yeah, 9. 5.I thought it was very sleek, it was very elegant, kind of minimalist in some sense, but again, the color scheme, it really pulled everything together and the flow works well.
Okay I think that there's gonna be more, um, I feel like some sort of, like, I'm picturing bubbles where you select different, um, characteristics of the people you want to be matched with, and I want them to be like floating, and then it creates your, I don't know, like Venn diagram, your perfect person or something, I don't know. I like swiping. I'm pro swiping. I like either swiping where you tap on it and it like, busts.
Is there like a button where you can press? Let's get coffee. Yes. Let's go. Okay. That's great. Yes. Coffee chat. Coffee chat. Yes. That would be cute. I like how the color scheme is mysterious. It's scandalous. These are the user experience, our login pages, um, the light and dark mode for like our specific.” | | | Jones, cohort 10. | 11/13/23 | “I'd give it a 9. It's highly disruptive, The color scheme, the cohesiveness, it truly was, um, a feast for the eyes. I did like what I received or learned purely on the fact that it will allow me to meet other co founders and like minded people. I like swiping. I'm pro swiping. I like either swiping where you tap on it and it like, busts.
I also like how you guys call yourselves matchmakers. Yes. Like the founders of the matchmakers.
coffee chats that can be scheduled in. Yeah, so like a schedule, within this, that you can schej with somebody else.” | | | Waverly Bagley, cohort 10 | 11/13/23 | “Do you message on the app? I think it, I mean, I think it looks really cool, so I would say 10 out of 10.
I think it looks cool. I would definitely be interested to see like what it actually looks like as like, would it be like an app on a phone?
Would like to see A chat feature? An open chat? An open chat? That's so messy, that's so messy. I really like the open chat.” | | | Kelvin Yee, cohort 10 | 11/13/23 | “These are all the beautiful people trying to promote cohorts next to everybody. Take it in. We're the matchmakers. Take it in, we're the matchmakers. Okay. So this is like a dating app? Like, like you would swipe on people? Or more like you, you have to find them yourself? Okay. I mean, I think it looks like pretty easy to use. Makes sense. Is there a reason y'all have the hamburger on the right and not the left? The hamburger? What about like anonymous, like other people shipping you with someone? Like an upvote of, of, of a stadium? So like, side chat? Kind of like side chat where like a match is made Like, and, and people can vote on it, like, they're like, if they, if they approve, you know, the people that know those people specifically. I'm saying, it's like chaotic. That would be so chaotic. Wait, I love that though, that's great So then I don't have to text them and be like, uh, are you free? Yeah, are you free?” | | | Taliyah, cohort 10 | 11/9/23 | “7/10, need photos besides the profiles, yall are cute tho super aesthetic, straight to the point, clean i like, not too much going on. besides photos, nothing really, looked like what i described it as, confused about just iys students but clarified on site. I feel well informed.

Does that include alumni?” | | | Henry Groome, cohort 9 | 11/13/23 | “Decent frontpage design, but there could be more floating elements and animations that bring the page to life, the color pallet is on brand, and is easy to tell that it is a romantic site, the logo with the arrow is creative and helps users to immediately understand what the site is used for, could have more colors than just 2 per light mode, maybe like a black or purple to contrast with the warm saturated colors, functionality is good, but more content can be had on the first page instead of just copy, does not attract my eye right away, maybe an option to add more information without questions or portray character (a free for all form)” | | | BJ Moon, cohort 9 | 11/13/23 | “Frontpage design is sexy and makes it seem like a matchmaking service, although the font can be improved, the italics and arrow are simple and gets the point across, and buttons in the header can be made bigger and more obvious what they are for, I didn't even know if the navigation bar was working because the text was so small and there was no labels for navigation and changes to the so. Not many moments other than the functionality is still not functional and can be more trendy” | | | Hamin Jin, cohort 9 | 11/13/23 | “Frontpage design looks really good, page is generally intuitive. I would like however to see
